Task: For this project, you will research a rights issue in the United States that interests you. You will then use your research to write a Research paper and create a PowerPoint presentation. Essay requirements listed below, Powerpoint requirements will be provided when we begin working on them.
Essay must include:
A discussion of the current, political/social context of a democratic right’s issue. A thesis that addresses a specific question related to that right’s issue. (Thesis should be placed as the last sentence of the introduction)
A discussion of the historical context of the issue.
An explanation of the Constitutional issue/s that are involved.
A description and analysis of at least 1 specific example or case that relates to the question.
Evidence and logical arguments that support your thesis.
A list of citations that are formatted in MLA format.
Format:
– Essay must be a minimum of 5 complete paragraphs with an Intro, 3 body paragraphs, and a Conclusion. You must also provide a MLA works cited page.
