Annotated Bibliography
In this Assignment, you will create an essay outline using the research from your annotated bibliography. This will allow me to see the progress of your work and give suggestions. This is not your complete essay. It is a summary of what you will write.
As explained throughout this lesson, a thesis statement is a summary sentence answering your research question. You chose from a list of research questions in Week 5 when you were assigned your annotated bibliography. Your thesis statement will answer that question.
Review the summaries you’ve created in your annotated bibliography and identify the research you can use for a future essay (see schedule for when this will be assigned).
1. Do you have enough information to write background or definition paragraphs?
2. Have you identified facts or case studies that can be used to support your claim?
3. Do you have any statistics?
4. How can your existing information be organized to support your thesis?
5. What additional research do you need to do? It’s a good idea to start writing down what is missing and begin researching.
