– I attached the instructions for this paper below so make sure to look at that. You need it to do this paper!!! I’ll specific some things here though as well.
– This is a 5 page paper on examining the developmental phenomenon of “Baby copies gestures and facial expressions” from the perspective of the following 3 developmental theories: Attatchment Theory, Sociocultural Theory, and Cognitve Developmental Thoery.
– Attachment Theory falls under Biological, Sociocultural Theory falls under Environmental, and Cognitive Developmental Theory falls under Constructivist
– In your paper, explain briefly your phenomenon. What does it look like? When might it emerge in development? Then, explain why and/or how it develops from the perspective of each of your three theories. For example, if your phenomenon was babies smiling, you would first explain what smiling is, when babies start to smile, and that babies might smile because they see others smile and are rewarded for it (social), they are evolutionarily primed to smile to get help or food (evolutionary), or they try out smiling on their own as a way of exploring facial expression (constructivist). Use specific theories in each umbrella, for example social learning theory (social) or cognitive developmental theory (constructivist). As you introduce each explanation, be sure to identify the theory by name and define briefly how it works. It is completely acceptable (preferable, even!) to apply the theory to the concept with your own critical thinking. You do not need to find a source that actually explains how that phenomenon develops according to X theory. Conclude your paper with your own thoughts about what perspective might be most sensible, or whether you believe an integration of perspectives accounts for the phenomenon.

– The reference page does NOT count as one of the five pages.
– It must be in APA 7th addition and in the font Times New Roman, 12pt
– All sources must be scholarly sources and will be est to get them from Proquest, EBSCO, JSTOR
