Assignment Task
Academic Integrity
The work submitted for each assessment task is to be your own work i.e. your ideas, words, writing, creation, with the work of others acknowledged where used.
Engaging in any of the following activities while attempting to complete a graded assessment will result in an automatic fail for the assessment:
(1) using unauthorised or non-academic sources;
(2) paraphrasing or quoting from someone else’s work without referencing;
(3) cutting and pasting from internet sources;
(4) attempting to reword all or part of another student’s assessment;
(5) using Artificial Intelligence when creating your assessment; this includes Al programs such as ChatGPT and word editing programs such as Grammarly, Quillbot, and Wordtune.
When writing the essay, students must not use non-academic sources. An academic source is a peer- reviewed piece of writing, written by an expert in the field, and made available by a recognised publishing house. This excludes blog posts, social media, online dictionaries, online (non-academic) encyclopaedias and general websites (even university and government websites).
In general, it is strongly recommended that students prioritise engaging with the sources recommended on the Leganto Reading List on the Course Blackboard site. If you are not sure about a source, please contact the Course Co-ordinator to make sure.
