Choose a disease you encounter or a disease you would like to learn more about that occurs in your specialty population (i.e., acute care, geriatrics). Search recent publications (within last five years) from the scientific literature on the disease using the PubMed online literature search site. Select two recent (within last five years) data-based original research articles from the scientific literature on the disease (*Note: Do not select review articles that summarize previously published results). Using the two data based research articles and other background materials (i.e., chapters, review articles, reputable websites), write an original paper describing the pathophysiology of this disease in your specialty population.
