Case Study:
Situation/Role
Assume that you are nearing graduation and that you have applied for a job for a company’s Finance Manager Development Program. As part of the firm’s evaluation process, you have been asked to take a skills test that covers several financial analysis techniques. Here, you will complete a case study that will include financial statement analysis, time value of money calculations, cash flow analysis, and capital budgeting scenarios.
Company Context
For this project, you will pick a company from the list below that is publicly traded and answer the following questions below related to their last year’s financial statements. Depending on the time of year, the previous year’s financial statement may not be available. If that is the case, use the financials of two years prior. Financial statements may be obtained on the company’s website through the annual report/investor relations page or through websites like Yahoo Finance by entering their trading symbol in the search box.

Details/Expectations
The Mastery Project for FIN-310 is comprised of a case study which will be presented in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel documents. The Word documents should list questions for Deliverables One through Four, followed by the answer. You must also show your calculations. The project template in its entirety can be accessed here; each part of the case study can also be accessed as a separate Word document on each of the deliverable information pages. The Excel document should provide the Financial Statement Analysis and Capital Budgeting Scenarios with commentary provided in the Microsoft Word document that includes analysis of the company’s financial statements as well as a series of other questions aimed at testing your knowledge of working capital management and capital budgeting.
NOTE: Please provide a copy of your company’s financial statements that you use for the calculations to indicate where you got your figures from. These should be provided in your Microsoft Word document and labeled “Appendix A.”
