Part 1
The Prompt : In Alcott’s “The Brothers,” we see Nurse Dane wrestling with how to react to Bob’s plan for revenge. Ultimately, while she empathizes with him and seems to like him personally much more than Ned, she convinces him to change his plans. Think of an example of when someone–perhaps you–had to wrestle with an ethically murky decision, and compare the tactics used, and the result, with those in Alcott’s story.
Your response should (A) Answer the question(s) in ONE prompt completely; (C) Cite evidence that fulfills the requirements of the prompt (your experience should work for most of these); and (E) Explain your use of examples and your reasoning.
Be sure to conclude your response by answering “So what?” Even creative writing projects need conclusions!
Your paper should follow MLA formatting and style conventions (current edition).
This part of your project should total at least 500 words.    
Part Two
Next, write a reflection in which you explore the choices you made in your creative response paper. Explain your thinking process and discuss how the creative choices you made compare to the choices made in the original primary text mentioned in the question.  Be sure to use pertinent details and quotes to support your exploration of how your creative response paper reflects or differs from the primary text. This part of your project should total at least 300 words.
