This assignment requires you to actively read and synthesize the main points of 1 reading from Module 1. You may select the assigned chapters from the textbook or any of the additional readings. 
Instructions: 
1. Each summary must be at least 1 page and no more than 3 pages, double-spaced. 
2. Direct quotations should be kept to a minimum. When including any direct quotations, remember you need to include quotes, an in-text citation, and a reference citation. Summarized material also requires an in-text citation after the text and a reference citation at the end of the summary. You may use any academic citation style. 
3. Use a legible font (Times New Roman, Calibri) and either 11 or 12-point font. Make sure your margins are set at 1′. 
3. Summaries must consist of 3 parts: 
Introduction: This is a 1 paragraph summary of the selected reading. Make sure to mention the main points you will be discussing in the body part of the summary.
Body: This is a 2-3 paragraph summary of the main points of the reading. Make sure to clearly identify the main point at the beginning of each paragraph. 
Conclusion: This is a 1 paragraph review of the major points of the reading. Make sure to identify the main takeaway of the reading.
