This is where you will put your Culture Powerpoint presentations.
They MUST be in either Powerpoint or PDF format.
ASSIGNMENT: You will create a 10-15 slide PowerPoint presentation on culture –your culture. (the “slide count” does NOT include a title page or a “thank you” or “the end” slide at the end).
We all live in the United States now, but we all come from somewhere.
What are some of the cultural practices that make you and your family
unique? Religion, food, recreation, language, family events, traditions,
holidays (material and non-material culture) … As we discussed in
class, culture is learned, intergenerational, shared and always
changing.
What are some of the “material” and “non-material” objects in your culture? What are the signs and symbols you use?
You will need to upload the presentation to the WEEK THREE section of the class website by Sunday, May 15th, 11:59 pm AZ time. The system will not accept submissions after that time. If you have not sent the PowerPoint by that time, you will receive a ZERO.
NOTE: This assignment is worth five percent of your total grade in the class.
There is no grading rubric. Either you do it correctly … or you don’t.
