This module illustrated how natural disasters affect medical records. Conduct Internet research on how disasters haved impacted both paper and electronic medical records. Pretend you are working in a facility that has hybrid records, but mostly relies on the EHR.
Create a preparedness plan for how the facility can protect the records during and after the hurricane. Make sure to address the protection of paper and electronic records, as well as how to access medical information during a potential long-term electrical outage.
