Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood with your culture, community or family. ( I was born in 1989,grew up in Ghana. As a quite, slow , timid and shy child. I had my kindergarten 1993 in Ghana and primary school 1996 as well and junior high school 2003 in Ghana and my secondary school 2005 also in Ghana. After my secondary school I didnt pass my exams so had a remedial class to rewrite my exams two times then did a professional course ( ticketing reservation and cabin crew course ) after I had the opportunity to come to America on a student visa . My uncle who was supposed to pay my fees declined after I got here so I was stranded. I have to struggle here and there. After 2 years then I met my husband who married me and filed for me to be a permanent resident. I vowed that I will go to school to pursue my dream career which is too become a nurse. I babysit and nanny to support myself and family in Ghana as the first born and bread winner of my family.i sometimes make time to volunteer just to give back to community.
