The other is seeking funding to help 75 people remain in their homes through their program. The first is reporting outputs – a lot of people will go through their training program. But they don’t give any insight as to whether the programs are effective. The second nonprofit focuses on the outcome of their training – that it will keep people in their homes. Though donors are impressed with the numbers a nonprofit may engage with, it is the true impact or benefit that is realized through their actions that will resonate more.
Select a nonprofit that you admire. Describe its programs, and give one example of an output and an outcome it showcases to describe its impact and effectiveness. Include the URL. Review a featured nonprofit by one of your classmates and identify another output and outcome on the site.
