Consider how these strategies support learning by providing clear sequence, speedy feedback, and a strong sense of expanding competence and measurable success. Additionally, think about how these two Mastery strategies reflect the principles described in the “Teaching for Learning” chapter of your course text.
In this Discussion, you will develop an idea for a learning experience that utilizes either the New American Lecture strategy or the Graduated Difficulty strategy. To begin, identify one specific content area of your curriculum that requires mastery learning. Then, choose one of the Mastery strategies below that could be used to facilitate this learning.

The Graduated Difficulty strategy is a practice strategy designed to help students practice at an appropriate level, develop decision-making skills, and develop actions for carrying out their decisions. When planning for the Graduated Difficulty strategy, you establish three to five levels of difficulty.
