- Identify a piece of legislation at the state or federal level that has an impact on children and their families. Write a letter of support or against this legislation to the appropriate lawmakers. If a law was recently passed or voted on, write to your lawmaker thanking them for their vote or registering your disagreement with their vote. - Research your chosen legislation. Identify who is the sponsor, and where the bill is in the process of becoming law. Submit a copy of the summary for this legislation or the web link, and any other pertinent information.
