Your Signature Assignment features six (6) short answer questions. The purpose of the Signature Assignment is to test your overall course knowledge. The questions are taken from the weekly lectures and Open Educational Resources. Your response to each question should be a minimum of 1-page. Compile your your brief essay responses together into one document for submission.
1. Explain what the criminal justice system is and its purpose.
2. Identify the 3 major components of the criminal justice system, and briefly describe each component’s role within the system. Include examples to support your response.
3. Briefly describe the major steps in the criminal justice process from Arrest to Probation or Parole.
4. What is the importance of having diversity, equity, and inclusion incorporated into the employment selection process within law enforcement and the criminal justice system? Include examples to support your rationale.
5. Identify and describe at least two key areas in need of criminal justice reform. What strategies would you recommend?
6. What is the importance of preventing police corruption? Provide one case study example of police corruption.
