Answer both Questions 1and 2.
As stated earlier, in preparation for answering Question 1 research and find a narrative in the form of a story (fictional or nonfictional) or a gaming choice that could be compelling and motivational to you when it comes to the pursuing personal change.
Question 1:
There are different types of motivational elements that can be found in narrative. These are bulleted below. Focus your answer to Question 1 around one of the these motivational elements.
A narrative as a frame of reference for one’s own current life experience offering new or more positive ways to go about change or staying motivated
Perspective Taking: How characters in the story are offering a variety of ways to maintain a positive or problem solving perspective in order to stay resilient to setbacks and forces of resistance
Creative strategies for overcoming barriers to successful change.
As reminder of the power inherent when staying true to one’s values or personal strengths
Write 150 – 200 words (double spaced) describing the compelling story you are using to answer this question and its narrative form. Describe how you feel motivated by any one of the four ways listed above to any to the barriers you may face while making a behavior change around your SDG3 target.

Question 2: Biomedical Approaches to Changing Behavior
A biomedical approach to health behavior change focuses on measurable goal setting. Setting measurable and specific goals comes after subjective cognitively preparation because the clearer you are about your health goal, and what we want to accomplish, the more likely you will be able to track your progress and feel confident in our ability to reach a goal.
This is usually done by the setting of what is known as a SMART goal. There are allot of reliable sources and videos explaining what SMART goals are and how to write them when pursing a behavior change. They have a very specific structure. They need to be realistic and doable within a specific time structure. To answer Question 2 you first need to research and learn about what makes a SMART goal a SMART goal and how to write a good one.
Question 2: Write out and state state a SMART goal you have crafted relative to your SDG3 target you think you can reach within the next 2 months. Typically this is one sentence in length, or no more than two short sentences. Then explain how the SMART goal you have written is doable and meeting all the criteria of being a well written SMART goal based on the researched you completed. (100 words)
Bibliography Question 2: Provide an APA bibliography of the sources you used to answer Question 2. List at least 3 reliable resources you used to understand what a SMART goal is and how to write a good one. Provide a link to the source at the end of each bibliography entry.
