It was a disaster, as there were no protocols in place to use when the EHR system went down. The CEO is angry about the lost revenue and angry with you because IT reports to you.

Describe the problems that can result from even a temporary loss of the EHR, including the impact on patient care and revenue.
Describe how a facility can prevent these disasters from impacting patient care and revenue by discussing backup plans, policies, equipment, or whatever your research indicates might be helpful. Be specific and comprehensive. Discuss many options, not just one.
