In groups determined by the instructor and based on the FBA report, students will develop a behavior intervention plan. The plan must be specific to the student’s function of behavior, as well as specific to the student’s unique needs. Do not simply provide a list of every possible strategy. Rather, develop precisely targeted interventions. Your BIPs must contain the following elements (the following bullet points serve as the format for the report):
Restate the function of the student’s behavior in the form of a summary statement (3 points).
IEP goals and objectives related to the results of the Functional Behavior Assessment report (3 points).
Detailed antecedent strategies to prevent the problem behavior and to facilitate appropriate behaviors (3 points).
Detailed teaching plan for the replacement behavior as well as additional appropriate behaviors to supports the replacement behavior (3 points).
Detailed consequence strategies for increasing appropriate behavior and decreasing problem behavior (3 points).
Plan for generalization (3 points).
Plan for maintenance (3 points).
Detailed procedures for data collection (3 points).
Detailed procedures for analyzing the student’s appropriate and problem behaviors (3 points).
Detailed plan for monitoring the behavior intervention plan (3 points).
