The entire process ended up in the Supreme Court and became known as Bush v. Gore 2000 with the court deciding in favor Bush resulting in his victory in the presidential race. The election was also unique as Gore had won the popular vote, but lost the election. As you read about the case consider the many factors the court had to address and if this decision is a mandate for reform of the electoral college.
