ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
For Part 1 in the 8-part Instructional Design Project, you will use your current professional
context and experience to plan for conducting a delta assessment of human performance at the
operational level; whereby you will collect and analyze available data to determine a need or
needs that can be addressed through specific instructional solutions in order to bridge the gap
between what is and what should be. You will use the information found in Rothwell, Ch. 2 to
guide you in the data collection, analysis and decision making process. For this first part of the
project you will identify the sector and organization you will use for the project. You should be
familiar enough with the organization to discuss the factors that affect performance in the
system. Consider the factors identified in Figure 1.1 Factors Affecting Performance (Rothwell,
2016) and discuss the factors that apply to your setting. Gather as much available data as
possible and include your data sets as appendices after the references section of your paper.
