This week you are going to put yourself in the shoes of a manager at Old Navy. Through this question you will have the opportunity to learn about different generation’s skills, work habits, life and career aspirations and use that knowledge to present a plan for how you would best manage them in a retail setting.
This week you need to answer the questions:
1.
Describe a ‘millennial’. Based on your description, how would you supervise AND motivate a millennial Old Navy employee?
2.
Describe a ‘baby boomer’. Based on your description, how would you supervise AND motivate a baby boomer employee at Old Navy?
In order to answer these questions, you need to use at least two outside resources to support your opinions and help define and describe the millennial and baby boomer generations. You will need to generally understand each generation’s skills, work habits, and life and career aspirations in order to effectively answer these questions.
