OVERVIEW
The Application Paper: Final Assignment is designed to be built upon the previous
Application Paper: Literature Review Assignment. You will incorporate the original
Application Paper: Literature Review Assignment within the Application Paper: Literature
Review Assignment. This will provide the “research” needed to confirm (or not) your
argument/assertion/hypothesis related to your selected topic of choice.
INSTRUCTIONS
You will write an 8–10 page research paper. The 8-10 pages is referring to the “text” portion of
the paper (and does not include the required Title page, Abstract page, or the References page).
For your Application Paper: Final Assignment, you may write about any topic suggested by
your textbook that interests you, and that you think holds value for you as you pursue a career—
or contemplate doing so.
Our textbook has many applications for the workplace. So YOU CHOOSE THE TOPIC or
ISSUE for the Application Paper: Final Assignment.
Also, your topic for the Application Paper: Literature Review Assignment will serve as the
topic for the Application Paper: Outline Assignment and Application Paper: Literature
Review Assignment. (So, this final paper for the class should be based on the proposal presented
earlier in the term, and the Application Paper: Literature Review Assignment you completed
earlier should be incorporated into this Application Paper: Final Assignment.)
Your Application Paper: Final Assignment should have the following sections, all formatted
according to current APA format (these guidelines may be found at our Liberty University
Online Writing Center). Your Application Paper: Final Assignment should include these
sections (with the appropriate APA-formatted headings) in this order:
Introduction
Literature Review
YOUR Argument/Assertion/Theory and Hypothesis (or Hypotheses)
Your Research Approach (how you went about putting together your understanding in
such a way as to cause you to take a position on this subject—in this case, a
LITERATURE REVIEW)
Results
Suggestions for Further Research/Study
Conclusion
References (include only the sources which are used and cited in your paper)
Of course, the 15 sources from the previous Application Paper: Literature Review
Assignment are to be used and cited. This is in addition to the class textbook and the Bible,which both should be used within the review, as well. As you analyze and discuss the literature,
be sure to do so from a biblical worldview perspective, using a minimum of 3 properly applied
biblical passages. The biblical worldview should be evident throughout the Application Paper:
Final Assignment.
Be sure to utilize a representative sample of the litearture available on the topic selected.
Present original ideas; however, the sources should support your analysis and conclusions in a
well-thought out presentation for the ideas/arguments/conclusions presented.
Be sure to use proper grammar and writing skills. Write for clarity in the mind of the reader.
Note: Not all sections are created equal. Some of the above may be a paragraph or two, while
others may be a few pages.
