credible and non credible source

Final Presentation

Introduction

Part of Digital Literacy is being able to identify information as a credible and non-credible source as we have done in the previous weeks. However, credibility is only one aspect of collecting quality sourced information. It is also important to determine the weight or value of the information you gather by evaluating the

source
.

For this assignment, you will be creating a PowerPoint Presentation. You will be making a presentation on credible and non-credible sources on a topic of your choice that relates to Information Technology.

Activity Instructions

Pick a current topic related to Information Technology that you will make a presentation on. Some examples of topics are: Phishing, Big Data, 5G, VPN (Virtual Private Networks), Cybersecurity, Ransomware, Hacking, and

5 sources of information related to the topic that you feel are credible.

You will

create
the following slides for your presentation:

A title slide that includes your name and the topic that you have chosen.
An Introduction slide for the presentation
A Conclusion slide at the end of the presentation
You will then

create a
slide for each of the 10 sources that you have chosen with the following information:

The title and author of the source.
State whether the source is credible or non-credible. Review the Evaluating Your Sources Guide.
Use the SCRAAP test and explain why you determined the source was credible or non-credible.
Provide brief information for the source that explains why the source is credible or non-credible and why you feel the source deserves the evaluation you gave it.
Include a slide that discusses the security and privacy aspects of your topic.

A reflection slide or two that includes why you think it is important to use credible sources. This must be presented using bullet

points
.
