it is required that you write a 500 word research essay on a topic related to the education of children with a disability. (The 500 words are of content and do not include the title page, abstract, or the list of references.

Topics are to be specific rather than general.

Some suggested topics include but are certainly not limited to;

Are boys overly identified as having emotional and behavioral disorders and why?
Is full inclusion always the best option for children with disabilities and why?
Does society rely too heavily on medication to address children’s behavioral issues and why?

This is a research essay, not a list of ideas or opinions.  Your sources must be cited in the paper! The essay should focus on what research studies and other scientific studies suggest regarding educating children with special needs. Your opinion is not applicable to this paper. Research is the focus and it requires at least five (5) references from scholarly journals, books, etc. The five required sources must be from the year 2017 or later (You can use references from prior to 2017 in your paper but five must be from 2017 or later). It is critically important for you to cite all information in your paper that is from someone else’s work. The common rule is “if it isn’t common knowledge then cite it”!

The internet can be used if the citation is from a scholarly source (e.g., downloading an article/information from The Journal of Special Education is acceptable.  Citing information from a website called Fred’s Thoughts on ADHD is not). If you are unsure of whether a text or an internet site meets the “scholarly source” requirement, just send me the text and/or website address to me and I will let you know if it is acceptable.  Also, if you are unsure how to cite/write using APA format, simply make an appointment with me during my office hours and we can discuss the how this is done.

Essays must be double spaced, 12-point font (Times New Roman font), black ink, and 1” margins on all sides. The paper must include a title page, abstract, the body of your paper (see below), and a reference page.  Essays must not exceed 500 words, not including the title page, abstract, and reference page. Please adhere to “Guidelines for Reporting and Writing about People Who Have Disabilities” and follow the person first rule. It’s a “child with a disability, not a disabled child”.

Strategic Management week 1 Discussion – scholarship essay help: scholarship essay help

Cooperative Strategy

Each week, you will be asked to respond to the prompt or prompts in the discussion forum. Your initial post should be a minimum of 300 words in length, and, you should respond to two additional posts from your peers. If you have not done so lately, please review the Rules of Discussion.

For your follow up post…review the responses provided by your peers. Engage in conversation, or even civil debate, as you discuss their insights and viewpoints. You may ask questions for clarification (if you are confused by their initial post) or pose questions that advance the conversation. You might even find a topic that leads you to further research in the area!

You will use the Internet to find two articles describing firms’ use of a cooperative strategy: one where trust is being used as a strategic asset and another where contracts and monitoring are being emphasized. What are the differences between the managerial approaches being used in the two companies? Which of the cooperative strategies has the highest probability of being successful? Why?

CRJU Theroies and criminal behavior 10 page paper – global history essay help: global history essay help

The ten (10-12) paper: Includes cover page, content page, abstract page, references page and the body of research

Focus of the Research Paper

Select a criminal justice topic/problem to define, describe the scope and consequences of the problem, interpret the issue with a criminological theory, and assess society’s responses to the problem (including public policies and other less formal responses). Papers should also present a clearly reasoned alternative that is supported by scholarly research.

While the following example can be modified to suit your needs, using this outline as a guide will likely result in a high quality final paper:

Title
Abstract
What is the topic problem? Which theory best explain the issue?
Why does this problem qualify as a “theories of criminal behavior issue”?
What are the individual and social implications of this problem? Discussion of implications should be supported by accurate research data.
What do the experts say about the problem?
What have we, as a society, done about this problem? Again, consider public policies and other, less formal responses.
How is this working?
Describe an alternative.
Discuss why the alternative is, or can be, an effective response to the problem. Remember to consider negative consequences of the alternative response.
Conclude with reflections and thoughts about your chosen social problem. This is a good place to include personal opinions, assuming you wish to share them in a research paper.

Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
Must use at least five scholarly resources.
Must document all sources in APA style
Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style.

Writing Assignment 1: What job do I want? Many students throughout this history of time (or at least since I was in college!) are not exactly sure what they would like to do for a career. The more information that students have about the jobs they would like, the better prepared they will be for them. The objective of this exercise is to get you to think more about the types of jobs you would like and from there what the job entails and the qualifications needed. Minimum length: 5 pages

Three different jobs in the field of criminal justice!

Probation Officer is one I selected please feel free to select the other two that have to do within the field of criminal justice.

Instructions:Students are to select three different jobs they are interested in. Answer the following questions for each job: Describe the job. What does the job entail? (i.e. what will you be expected to do on a daily basis?) What is the average annual starting pay? What is the average topping out pay (i.e. what is the most that someone in this job can expect to make after all the raises and promotions?). Be sure to find local information. Compare to national averages. What are the qualifications needed to obtain this job? Do you need a degree in criminal justice to obtain this job? Do you need a college degree at all for this job? How do you feel a criminal justice or college degree would help in any way with this job? Explain. How likely do you think this will be your job? Have you ever thought about leaving Southern California for this job? What if you were told that if you worked out of state for eight years but then could come back to Southern California and work anywhere you wanted for the rest of your life, would you do it? Or would you not want to leave Southern California for eight years? Explain.

Students who select three different jobs in the field of criminal justice, answer the questions about these jobs, and follow the grammar outlined in the Writing Guidelines will receive full credit. Please also focus on paragraph length as outlined in the Work Submission Format on the syllabus

There is no introduction, no conclusion, and no references. Students who provide these will get docked points.

Remember to follow the Writing Guidelines (PPT on Canvas). In order to find information about the above questions, get on the Internet and type them into a search engine (e.g. What is the job description of a homicide detective? What is the starting salary of a homicide detective in Los Angeles? What type of qualifications are needed to be a homicide detective in Los Angeles? Do I need a degree in criminal justice to be a homicide detective?). REFERENCES ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS EXERCISE. As such, please do not provide.

Please note: Think hard about three different jobs in the field of criminal justice or related to it (e.g. social work; psychology; law) that you are at least somewhat interested in. Please do not write about your interest in beauty school/esthetician, MMA fighter, delivery person, ‘work at my uncle’s company’, and the like. Also, please make sure these are different jobs. For instance, working at either the LAPD or LASD are not two different jobs – but one as ‘police officer.’ Moreover, two of the three jobs of interest can be within the range of ‘law enforcement’ (e.g. police officer; homicide detective; SWAT). Border patrol, FBI, any military career, and the CIA would not be considered ‘law enforcement’ under this definition. Also, if you have a general idea 2of what you want to do such as ‘work with children’ or ‘work with drug treatment centers’ or ‘help people coming out of prison’, then that would generally be considered ‘social worker’ for purposes here.

Internal and external criticism that is used to evaluate middle range theory – “essay help” site:edu: “essay help” site:edu

Evaluating Middle Range Theories Using Internal and External Critiques

Examination of middle-range theories is done by using internal and external criteria. Some of the questions addressed by internal criticism are whether the theory is consistent and if the approach has a logical flow. External criticism assessment then tests whether the assumptions made by the theories represent the actual world of nursing. Some ways to determine internal criticism include clarity, consistency, and logical development. While doing external critiquing, one considers how complicated the theory is, its efficacy, uniqueness, if it represents the real world, and its scope.

The criterion for the approach’s clarity is gauging how comprehensible the contents of the theory are and whether they obscure the topic of interest. The researchers in question are then tested on how quickly they comprehend the theory before using it practically (Fawcett et al., 2005). The consistency of the approach is then judged by ensuring the theory’s context and the subject matter are in harmony. Another way is to question if the concepts are cohesive and if the theory’s proposition is consistent in structure (Kolcaba et al., 2001). Regarding adequacy, the theory is tested whether further clarification is needed and whether unfilled gaps are established and rectified. Finally, through internal review, the ideas of the theory are tested if they lay out things in a coherent fashion.

For external critiquing, the question of complexity is brought out; it should be clear how many key components are in the theory. The middle-range nursing theories go ahead to be tested on how complicated they are, and using variables, their straightforwardness is determined (Peterson et al., 2020). As for efficacy, it should be lucid if the theory proves useful to the nurses carrying out research. By use of well-defined boundaries on the subject matter, the theory is supposed to distinguish between nursing and other medicine-related disciplines (Masters et al., 2012). More so, the assumptions are gauged if they represent the real world of nursing. External critique then tests out the scope of the theory by simply establishing if the range in question is narrow and if it makes the research any easier.

Conclusively the student learning outcomes that I observed in my post is:  Examine the influence that nursing models and theories have upon research and practice, the middle-range theory is a good option for practicing nurses and those conducting research. Using the evaluation criteria above, nurse researchers can gain insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the theory. Therefore, any researcher out there should conduct a rigorous analysis of the said theory before settling on it for research.

Treating Hypertensive Urgencies

Hypertensive emergency is defined as a severely elevated diastolic blood pressure (>120mmHg) in the presence of target-organ damage. Please read the attached article for an overview of target-organ damage.

Sharma, S., MD., Anderson, C. PharmD., Sharma, P., MD., Frey, D., MD. (2021). Management of hypertensive urgency in an urgent care setting (Links to an external site.). The Journal of Urgent Care Medicine. https://www.jucm.com/management-of-hypertensive-urgency-in-an-urgent-care-setting/

Scenario

You have a 57-year-old mixed-race male (black and Asian) who comes into your office for a screening to participate in a study to evaluate the effectiveness of a home cervical traction device on neck pain and intervertebral disc space. He has a history of neck pain and was diagnosed six years ago with spinal stenosis at the C5-C6 level.

During the screening, the gentleman is found to have a BP of 217/109. When you question him about this BP measurement he reports to you that he knows that his blood pressure has been in that range for about the last decade. He reports he has not seen a health care professional about his elevated blood pressure and does not have a health care professional that he sees on a routine basis. He is a healthcare professional at the provider level.

Based on the blood pressure measurement he does not meet the inclusion criterion for the cervical traction device research study.

Please develop a discussion that responds to each of the following prompts. Where appropriate your discussion needs to be supported by scholarly resources. Be sure to include in-text citations in the context of the discussion and provide a full reference citation at the end of the discussion.

Discussion Prompt

Utilize the information provided in the scenario to create your discussion post.

Construct your response as an abbreviated SOAP note (Subjective Objective Assessment Plan).

Structure your ‘P’ in the following format: [NOTE: if any of the 3 categories is not applicable to your plan please use the ‘heading’ and after the ‘:’ input N/A]

Therapeutics: pharmacologic interventions, if any – new or revisions to existing; include considerations for OTC agents (pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic/alternative); [optional – any other therapies in lieu of pharmacologic intervention]

Educational: health information clients need in order to address their presenting problem(s); health information in support of any of the ‘therapeutics’ identified above; information about follow-up care where appropriate; provision of anticipatory guidance and counseling during the context of the office visit

Consultation/Collaboration: if appropriate – collaborative ‘Advanced Care Planning’ with the patient/patient’s care giver; if appropriate -placing the patient in a Transitional Care Model for appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic care; if appropriate – consult with or referral to another provider while the patient is still in the office; Identification of any future referral you would consider making

Support the interventions outlined in your ‘P’ with scholarly resources.

Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.

PUB-690 Capstone Guide

Option 4 – Program Evaluation Plan

Description

Evaluation is a key component of any health promotion program. Through evaluating a program, you can determine its quality and effectiveness. In PUB-620, you explored evaluation designs, process and outcome evaluation, and the CDC’s framework for evaluation. For this capstone project option, you will choose an existing program and develop a plan to evaluation that program. For the purposes of this capstone project, you will not actually be conducting an evaluation of this program. Rather, you are preparing the first step in any program evaluation which is to create a plan for the evaluation. Your program evaluation plan will include a description of the program, the purpose of the evaluation, description of stakeholders and intended users, evaluation questions, a data analysis plan with timetable, and plan for reporting and dissemination of findings. Your final program evaluation plan should include the following components:

I.                Executive Summary (submitted only with Part 4)

II.              Literature Review

III.            Introduction and Purpose of the Evaluation

a.      Purpose of the evaluation

b.     Type of evaluation to be conducted

IV.           Intended Users and Stakeholders

V.             Program Description

a.      Program objectives

b.     Evaluation objectives

VI.           Evaluation Questions

VII.         Evaluation Design and Sample

VIII.       Gathering Credible Evidence

a.      Data collection methods (analytic strategy)

b.     Timeline and workplan

IX.           Dissemination of Evaluation Findings

X.             References

XI.           Appendix A: Logic Model

XII.         Appendix B: Work Plan/Analytic Strategy

Deliverables

The deliverables for your program evaluation plan will be submitted in Topics 4, 8, 12, and 16. For Topics 4, 8, and 12, you will work on three separate parts of your project, according to the deliverable schedule provided below. In Topic 16, you will submit your final, completed project, including all revisions or suggested edits made by your instructor.

For each of the four deliverables (Parts 1-3 and Final Project), include a copy of the appropriate rubric (provided in this Capstone Guide) at the end of the deliverable. Your instructor will use this rubric when reviewing and grading the deliverable.

Descriptions of the four deliverables, including criteria, requirements, and instructions for completion are provided below.

MPH Capstone Project Part 1 (Topic 4)

The first deliverable in Topic 4 will include a literature review, an introduction and purpose of the evaluation, and a description of the intended users and stakeholders. Your literature review should focus on previously published evaluations of interventions/programs similar to the program/intervention you have chosen. The purpose of your literature review is to summarize and synthesize published studies showing evaluation results and findings for programs/interventions that address your health issue and to inform your evaluation questions.

The introduction and purpose of the evaluation section should introduce and describe the purpose for the evaluation and describe the type of evaluation to be conducted. For the purposes of this capstone project, you will not actually be conducting an evaluation of this program. Rather, you are preparing the first step in any program evaluation which is to create a plan for the evaluation. Finally, you will discuss the intended users of results or findings from this program evaluation and stakeholders related to the program evaluation (who may or may not be the same as intended users). Discuss how you intend to engage stakeholders in the evaluation process.

A helpful resource, “PUB-690: Literature Review Summary Table” (located in Class Resources), has been provided to assist you with organizing and preparing your literature review. This template can be used to summarize 7-10 scholarly sources related to your chosen health issue. The table allows you to summarize the sources you will use as evidence for your capstone option.

Please note this table is provided as a resource to help you organize sources in preparation for the literature review section of the capstone project, but will not replace the assignment, and is not submitted as an assignment for grading.

Part 1 will include the following components of your project in a narrative of 2,000-2,500 words:

II.              Literature Review

III.            Introduction and Purpose of the Evaluation

a.      Purpose of the evaluation

b.     Type of evaluation to be conducted

IV.           Intended Users and Stakeholders

MPH Capstone Project Part 2 (Topic 8)

The deliverable for Topic 8 will focus on describing the program, defining program and evaluation objectives, developing the evaluation questions, and describing the evaluation design and intended sample. In addition, you will also complete a program logic model using the template at the end of this document (Appendix A).

For the description of the program, you should describe the type of program (e.g., community-based, health care-based, school-based, etc.), the target audience, the program objectives, and your evaluation objectives. Develop a logic model for the program using the template provided (Appendix A). Your evaluation questions are the questions you are answering by conducting this evaluation. They should describe what you hope to learn or gain from the evaluation. These questions are based on the type of evaluation you are conducting, the stakeholders and intended users, and the program and evaluation objectives. Finally, you will describe the evaluation design you will use for the evaluation and the intended sample from which you will collect data.

Part 2 will include the following components in a narrative of 1,000-1,250 words (not including templates/tables):

V.             Program Description and Objectives

a.      Program objectives

b.     Evaluation objectives

VI.           Evaluation Questions

VII.         Evaluation Design and Intended Sample

XI.           Appendix A: Logic Model

MPH Capstone Project Part 3 (Topic 12)

The deliverable for Topic 12, will focus on how you will gather credible evidence for your evaluation, including a workplan, timeline, and an analytic strategy (i.e., data collection and methods). You will also include an approach for dissemination of program evaluation results. Prepare a brief narrative overview of the data you will collect to address your evaluation questions, the stakeholders from which you will collect data, how you will collect the data, and a timeline for completion. In addition to your narrative, you will also use the template provided in this document to develop a detailed workplan/data analytic strategy and timeline (Appendix B).

For the dissemination of evaluation results, keep in mind that you will not have actual evaluation results to share. Rather, this section should focus on how you would disseminate results for the evaluation. Consider the following questions: How will the results be disseminated? What will the report include? How do you intend the results be used?

Part 3 will include the following components in a narrative of 750-1,250 words (not including templates/tables):

VIII.       Gathering Credible Evidence

IX.           Dissemination of Evaluation Findings

a.      Data collection and methods

b.     Timeline and workplan

XII.  Appendix B: Work Plan/Analytic Strategy

MPH Capstone Project – Final Project (Topic 16)

In Topic 16, you will submit your final, completed capstone project. Your project should include revised sections of the parts submitted in Topics 4, 8, and 12 and include new elements that you have not previously submitted for review:  Executive Summary (I) which is placed at the beginning of your completed capstone project after the title page and a complete list of References (X) at the end of your completed project before Appendices.

The final project will be a narrative of 4,000-6,500 words and include all components listed in the order below. Be sure to revise each section based on feedback from your instructor.

I.                Executive Summary

II.              Literature Review

III.            Introduction and Purpose of the Evaluation

IV.           Intended Users and Stakeholders

V.             Program Description and Objectives

VI.           Evaluation Questions

a. “What do you think is causing your headaches?”

b. “You don’t get headaches often, do you?”

c. “On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the severity of your headaches?”

d. “At what time of the day are your headaches the most severe?”

Answer: B – “You don’t get headaches often, do you?”

A leading question is a type of question that implies or contains its own answer.
This question would limit the information in the patient’s answer. The other choices allow the patient more discretion about the extent of an answer.

Which segment from among the six would you recommend as a target for PicDeck? Explain the logic and rationale behind your choice as well as any concerns you may have about the segment.
Develop a positioning statement for your target segment. (Make sure you review the lecture notes on writing a positioning statement).
Develop a positioning statement for wireless carriers. (Make sure you review the lecture notes on writing a positioning statement).

Note on cluster analysis used in the case:

Standard statistical methods were used to group or “cluster” respondents together based on how similar their responses were.
This analysis considers similarities and response profiles across all questions (not individual questions).
This analysis does not presume that there will be a particular number of clusters. The statistical analysis guides the analyst to determine the number of clusters that best represent the survey respondents
This analysis did not consider any information beyond the data provided by the survey questions listed in Exhibit 1.

Ontela PicDeck (B): Customer Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning

The Quantitative Customer Segmentation Study

Although Joe Levy felt that the customer persona provided a good starting point to begin thinking about PicDeck’s segmentation, he believed that he needed quantitative data to get a more precise understanding of the relative attractiveness of different customer segments. This would require data on end users regarding their preferences and behaviors related to mobile devices and imaging. He therefore hired a market research firm to conduct a quantitative customer segmentation study.

The firm conducted a national survey of 2,000 respondents who were selected from lists of mobile telephone customers aged 15 and older. The questions in the survey ranged from respondents’ current mobile phone behavior and camera experience to general technology aptitude and price sensitivity. The survey questions are listed in Exhibit 1. The research firm used a random sampling approach to ensure that the respondent sample accurately represented nationwide wireless subscribers.

Analysis of Customer Survey Data

Identifying Segments—Cluster Analysis of Preference Data

The research firm performed a cluster analysis on the responses. A cluster analysis is a statistical technique that identifies groups of customers who have similar survey response patterns. The number of clusters is determined in part by how different the response patterns are. If all survey respondents tend to give the same responses, then only one cluster is identified.

For this survey, six clusters of respondents were identified, each with a different response pattern. Details of each cluster are provided in Exhibit 2, which lists the mean responses to each question for each cluster.

Profiling Segments—Demographic and Media Choice Information

In addition to the preference data, the research firm also asked the same respondents a series of questions related to demographics and media habits. The demographics and media habit questions are shown in Exhibit 3, and the profiles of the six clusters are reported in Exhibit 4.

Assignment Questions

1. Based only on the cluster analysis data, which preference-related variables are most useful for segmentation identification and evaluation? Which variables are least useful?

2. Keeping in mind what you know about each cluster before you look at Exhibit 3 and Exhibit 4, create descriptive profiles for the customer segment represented by each cluster. Label each segment with a title that best describes that cluster. To what extent does this new information reinforce or challenge your previous assumptions about the segments in this market?

3. Now, use the profiling information in Exhibit 4 to create a revised profile for each cluster. Is this profile different from what you “guessed” based only on the preference data?

4. Which segment(s) would you recommend as a target for PicDeck? Explain the logic behind your choice.

5. Develop a positioning statement for your selected target customer(s) that defines the key benefits of the PicDeck service and how the service is differentiated from alternatives that customers might consider.

6. Develop a positioning statement for wireless carriers that Ontela can use to communicate the value of the PicDeck service for wireless carriers.

7. Suggest a media plan that you feel would be most effective in promoting the PicDeck service to your selected target customer(s) and to convert them to paying customers.

While many of your research projects will require you to read articles published in scholarly journals, books or other peer reviewed sources of information, there is also a wealth of information to be found in more popular publications. These aim to inform a wide array of readers about issues of interest and are much more informal in tone and scope. Examples include general news, business and entertainment publications such as Time Magazine, Business Weekly, Vanity Fair. Note, special interest publications which are not specifically written for an academic audience are also considered “popular” i.e., National Geographic, Scientific American, Psychology Today. (Evaluating Information Sources, n.d., What is a Popular Source? section)

The above indicates that when reading a text—especially reading to learn and rely on the content of a text—we are to exercise due diligence. We need to exercise critical thinking and not blindly accept all information that passes our way. Our researcher reputations are at stake. And we are accountable to the readers who may rely on the information we provide.

For this assignment, you will locate and download a popular journal article to analyze the author’s use of logic.

Background Information

The Discerning Reader and Writer

As you read the sourced article for this written assignment, keep in mind the quality writing tips you have learned in your reading. One significant way to begin improving your writing skills is to improve your reading skills. By reading at-once on different levels, you will not only be taking in and processing the words (and information) that are displayed—but you will also be consciously assessing the quality of the information, the craft of the writing, and the aesthetics of the formatting. In other words, you will begin to read differently as a result—you will become a discerning reader. By reading ‘actively’, you will inherently build habits of observation that can carry over into your doctoral and professional writing through use of new words and a multitude of ways to articulate what you want to say.

As you analyze the logic of the article selected for this assignment, be on the lookout for the phrases that should be avoided at the start of a sentence. If you reviewed your most recent coursework submissions or contributions to the ADP, would any of the sentence start taboos be found?

Bi weekly Assignment 2 -Writing a Literature Review

For this assignment you will be creating a Literature Review for your Capstone Project/Paper. Here is what a literature review is supposed to accomplish: Gender in White-Collar Crime

“The basic purpose of the literature review is twofold: first, to provide an introduction to your topic and explain the research that has already been conducted; and second, to help motivate and provide background for the hypotheses and research questions that you will be testing. Don’t go overboard; write concisely and powerfully. You should take no more than one paragraph to summarize any one piece of previous research that you cite in the literature review. Try to keep your review as focused as possible on the central themes of interest.”

Here are some general guidelines for the literature review:

You must be sure that you properly cite everything in APA format (parenthetical citations), and avoid plagiarism at all costs. Consult the following website: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/666/01/ (Links to an external site.) for proper formatting and the use of APA.
It is difficult to specify the length of a good literature review. Just as a guideline, I’ll suggest 6-8 pages. That should be enough to set the tone of your paper. However, some may go longer than 6-8 pages (For this assignment no literature review should be shorter than 6 pages)
Remember what a literature review is supposed to accomplish: first, you should provide a general introduction to your topic; and second, you should provide whatever background is necessary for the reader to understand why you are posing your hypotheses and research questions. Therefore, you must focus your attention on only those aspects of your topic that are relevant to your research project! Your 6-8 page literature review is not meant to be the end-all definitive source on your topic; it is only meant to set the tone for the really important stuff that comes later in the paper – namely, the original research that you will be conducting. I very strongly encourage you to plan before you write.
Examine your sources. Decide what the contribution of each source is. Make an outline. After you’ve taken these steps, then start writing. It is exceptionally important that a literature review be well organized – use headings to delineate the topics you will discuss.
For examples of literature reviews, consult your sources – virtually all articles in scholarly journals have literature reviews. Again, the purpose is only to introduce the reader to your topic and set the stage for your hypotheses and research questions. Therefore, you will only want to include relevant selections that lead directly to your project. Here’s what one professor writes of literature reviews:

“An author should communicate a review’s purpose to the reader by its organizations. The wrong way to write a review is to list a series of research reports with a summary of the findings of each. This fails to communicate a sense of purpose. It reads as a set of notes strung together. Perhaps the reviewer got sloppy and skipped over the important organizing step in writing the review. The right way to write a review is to organize common findings or arguments together. A well-accepted approach is to address the most important ideas first, to logically link statements or findings, and to note discrepancies or weaknesses in the research” (Neuman, 2004, p. 78).

Here’s an example. Let’s say that I was researching college students’ attitudes about police use of force. Here’s how I might organize my literature review:
Introduce my topic – perhaps with a scenario or something attention grabbing
What is use of force? I have to define my key concepts before we go on.
Who cares about this topic? I need to explain why it matters – what are the implications of my research? Who cares what college students think about police use of force?
Now I would present the results of studies that directly address attitudes towards police use of force. I would not address studies about the prevalence of use of force, or about court cases regarding the use of force, because those are not targeted directly to my topic. As I present the studies, I would briefly note the conclusions and I would discuss, overall, what we know and what we don’t know. I would issue critiques of previous research as necessary and tie together common themes. A (very hypothetical) paragraph might look like this:

“Previous research has found gender differences in perceptions of use of force. A number of studies (Smith, 1999; Jones, 1998; Anderson, 1983) have found that men are more likely to approve of higher levels of police force than women. However, one study found that female criminal justice students supported higher levels of force than male students (Zebulon, 1993). It is important to note that the first three studies noted above were of citizens, while the last study focused only on students. Furthermore, Zebulon’s work studied only one criminal justice department at one university –clearly, more research is necessary to understand this issue. The research conducted in this project will help clarify the nature of college students’ attitudes towards use of force.

6. The important thing here is to NOT GET OVERWHELMED BY THIS SECTION OF YOUR PAPER. Remember the only purpose of the literature review is to define your topic and set the stage for your hypotheses. In all reality, the literature review is one of the least important parts of your paper – it just is meant to pave the way for your original data collection and analysis (i.e., survey, interviews, etc.).

7. Upload your assignments when you have them completed. I will review drafts that are submitted earlier to provide feedback.

  Question 1

Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

Discuss the main components necessary for a market to occur.
Discuss a market you have recently participated in, either professionally or personally. Why is it important for you to take part in this market, and what differentiates it from other markets?

RESPONSE TO THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS POST.

Yesenia post

Market is a place that two or more parties are able to meet or use to engage in an economics transaction. Markets involve services, goods, currency, and information which can pass along from one to another. Some examples of markets can be coffee, eBay, online, rice, tv, and stores. Markets are not labeled to one physical or geographical location. The main components have three components, which are goods and services market at the other end, the companies that are making the products, and factor market at one end. The market is the law of demand and supply which manages the production of goods and services. The market I have recently participated in was using the market store like Target and other stores. It is important for me to take part in this market because I was looking for a faster delivery time and this specific store was able to provide me the products sooner then need to wait. It was different from other markets because it allowed me to purchase the products the same day to be delivered and other markets were not able to provide that service.

Kenneth post

A market is where groups can get together and exchange things and/or services and engage in economic activity. The groups involved are usually buyers and sellers. A market could consist of a literal retail market or more of a virtual market, like online. There also could be illegal markets, financial and/or auction markets. The parts of a market include an area to sell the goods, sellers and buyers, and the product or objects being sold.

There could be a farmers’ market, a housing market or an online market like craigslist or eBay. I’d much rather be involved in a farmers’ market myself because I can actually interact with the seller and the consumer, like myself, can give feedback and be face-to-face. Ebay is ok, I’ve done a couple transactions on there. There’s a lot of steps along the way so both parties feel secure. The differentiation between the two for them is the human contact or the lack thereof. There are many examples of markets and pretty much it just involves the trade of economic activities between groups of people.

Overview

In Milestone One, as an HR consultant, you submitted a change readiness report. While you were performing your change readiness assessment, five employees from the U.S. call center quit as a group, along with the well-liked team lead.

Top management is very concerned about this sudden incident. The VP has asked for your help in identifying a permanent solution to the issue of attrition at the U.S. branch of the Singaporean software solutions provider.

You understand that attrition is primarily the result of low employee engagement. You are also aware that different employees may be engaged in diverse ways. You decide to make a presentation to explain the significance of employee engagement to the company leadership. You plan to also include the critical factors that influence employee engagement.

Prompt

Create a PowerPoint presentation with narration to help the business leaders in the course scenario understand how and why their employees are disengaged. Create speaker notes if necessary, for each slide. Specifically, you need to address the following criteria:

Note: Remember to use both on-screen text and narration or speaker notes in your PowerPoint slides to convey your information effectively. If, due to technical challenges, narration is not possible, precise and extensive speaker notes should be used, while addressing all the rubric elements in the presentation. For example, you can use brief bulleted lists on the slide and include detailed explanations in your narration or speaker notes.

Determine the impact of employee disengagement on attrition and productivity. (2 slides)

Which conditions adversely influence employee engagement?

Interest Rate, Stock Valuation, Risk and Returns – melbourne essay help: melbourne essay help

Part 1: Interest Rates

Many managers do not understand the various ways that interest rates can affect business decisions. For example, if your company decided to build a plant with a 30-year life and short-term debt financing (renewed annually), the cost of the plant could skyrocket if interest rates were to return to their previous highs of 12% to 14%. On the other hand, locking into high, long-term rates could be very costly also with a long period when low short-term interest rates were to be available. As you can see, the ability to know your economic environment and its impact on projected interest rates can be crucial to making good financing decisions.

Describe two to three macroeconomic factors that influence interest rates in general. Explain the effects of each factor on interest rates.

Now think about the industry in which you are employed or one in which you have past experience. To what macroeconomic factors is your industry most sensitive?

Describe two contemporary factors that seem to be impacting your industry today, and identify their impacts on the interest rates experienced within your chosen industry.

Support your comments with your own experiences, the weekly resources, and/or additional research. Use APA throughout and provide appropriate in-text citations and references.

Part 2: Stock Valuation, Risk and Returns

Stock valuation

Dividend Discount Model Stock Valuation

Stock Valuation and Investment Decisions

The links above contain information on stock valuation, risk, and returns. Please review each one of them. Based on the knowledge gained from the materials presented in the links above, complete the following activities:

Present a detailed discussion of what you learned about stock valuation. Provide examples of how your company has used the concepts. Do you believe financing a company’s operation using stock is better than financing with bonds? Why or why not? Support your discussion with a numerical example.

Based on the materials presented in the “Risk and Return” video, present a discussion on why the materials are important in financial decision-making. How would you incorporate risk and return in your financing decisions?

Discussion 2: Later Life Considerations

As more and more of the U.S. and world population ages into old age, it is becoming increasingly critical that societies have a better understanding of what works well and what perhaps does not work so well when considering eldercare. What types of living situations ensure happier and healthier elders? What factors in eldercare may impact working adults and loved ones? What’s the effect of varied living situations on societies and economies as a whole? Finally, what does the way a family or society treat elders say about that family or society in terms of values and belief systems? As you consider these questions, further think about how building your understanding of eldercare might help you not only in your professional work but also how it might impact you on a personal level as well.

For this Discussion, you will explore the advantages and disadvantages of eldercare living.

To Prepare

Consider the following:

Imagine you are middle-aged and belong to a family where your children are late adolescents. You have two teenage children and two very elderly parents. In some cultures, it is common for elders to live in an independent living community, retirement community, or assisted living communities. In other cultures, elders will come live with an adult child.

Post and describe at least one advantage and one disadvantage of each living arrangement (i.e., independent living, assisted living, and living with an adult child).

TIPÑ For your assignment topic, try to consider a practice or policy that you see in your workplace that makes you question the rationale. Is there research-based evidence that supports an intervention for it, or is a practice just tradition or popularity? What you select to study for this paper will be the topic that you will adopt for investigation for the entire course beginning this week.

For the Week 3 assignment you will be asked to complete a matrix to evaluate the strength of 4 research studies.  Consider a topic that interests you that relates to evidence-based research. Some of you have already mentioned topics such as urinary tract infection and hospital acquired infections. For problems such as these researchers have conducted research to apply approaches in the clinical setting to solve or decrease the problem. For this assignment you will be searching the Walden databases to find those types of peer-reviewed research studies. The topic you select will be the same one you will use all of this term in this class for other assignments.

When you compose your assignment you will use a tool that is posted in resources called the Matrix Worksheet Template. In the template you will follow the prompts to analyze your 4 articles (why each was chosen, how it relates to your topic, ethics, the aims of the research, and methodology with strengths either in matrix form or in text.) You will need APA citation and a reference page that gives the address for each article.

Please note that in addition to the 4 research articles (which will be your outside sources) you will also need to cite 2-3 course resources in your paper.

This is just a suggestion, but the course resources make sense for your rationale for selection of the articles. You could add an introduction to precede the matrix as a good spot for citation of the course references. Otherwise, they will need to be cited somewhere in the matrix itself.

PLEASE USE MATRIX TEMPLATE ATTACHED!!!!

Save More For Retirement – law essay help: law essay help

Look at the video below:

https://www.ted.com/talks/daniel_goldstein_the_battle_between_your_present_and_future_self (Links to an external site.)

Here, Goldstein argues that one of the reasons that 2/3 people don’t save for old age is that it is hard for us to connect between our present self and our future self.

“You are basically two persons: your present self and your future self”, according to Goldstein. Your present self listens to the here and now, wants to satisfy his needs immediately. Your future self also wants to live and would like your present self to be a little wiser. So, opposing interests. The power of Now vs the importance of Future.

Here are a couple of written articles that relate to Goldstein’s research:

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/25/the-selfie-that-could-make-you-a-rich-retiree.html (Links to an external site.)     this selfie could help turn things around

Question: the last article above, “this selfie could help turn things  around”, suggests that using virtual software such as FaceApp (or Oldify or AgingBooth) to produce an aged photo of yourself 40 years from now will motivate you to save more for retirement. Thinking about yourself, do you agree that looking at an aged photo of yourself will motivate you to save more? Why or why not?

What skill(S) do you think an effective leader should develop that would enable them to spend more time on management issues?
One skill that I believe would make an effective leader spend less time on management issues is the ability to delegate and regulate responsibility to others. If the leader spends all their time performing tasks they will spend less time managing. Whom can the leader manage if they are the only ones performing work? A good leader has to know when to delegate and what tasks to delegate. Working with individual that the leader can trust makes leading a little less difficult (Covey, 1991). The leader must believe that others have the ability to perform. The leader must believe that the members on their team are motivated to achieve the objective or mission of the group. It does not mean that the team members all have the best skills, but it means that the leader trust that the members will work to do all that they can to be successful. According to Covey (1991), leadership is about learning how to be a supervisor. A supervisor delegates and not try to do it all.
Is management an art or a science and/or both?
According to the Encyclopedia of Management (6th Edition), management is both an art and a science. Management as a science is based on the management practicing certain situations and believe that there is a rational or objective for the correct action to situations. The manage practicing management as a science will follow general theories and practices on how to improve a situation based on principles, according to the Encyclopedia of Management (6th Edition. A manager that follows the art perspective of management do not believe that scientific principles are the response to all situations (Encyclopedia of Management, 6th Edition). The manager practicing management has an art will more than likely reply on using their own knowledge about a situation to determine what course of action to take to resolve an issue.
Identify an approach in Covey (1991) that can be used for resolving managerial issues.
An approach that is mentioned by Covey (1991, p. 119) to resolve managerial issues is to refrain form saying the unking or negative thing to an employee. A manager must never take their frustration out on their followers. The manager must learn how to exercise patience and learn how to distinguish between the person and the behavior or performance of the employee (Covey, 1991. The manager can disapprove of a behavior or performance but must understand how to communicate that to an employee without trying to tear the employee down.

Please reply to– Ashley O. Please note minimum of 200 words. No APA or sources citation needed.

From the CDC list of commonly used community assessment models, I chose to use the Community Health Assessment and Group Evaluation (CHANGE) tool.  According to the CDC (2010), the CHANGE tool can transform communities into those that support healthy living.  It can help communities to assess potential approaches that show strong evidence of effectiveness and that are innovative.  For example, implementing no indoor smoking as well as no outdoor smoking.  I know the county where my husband and I live is tobacco free indoor and outdoor at all eating and drinking establishments.  Also, in our county, in 2008, they banned all restaurants from serving any foods that contain trans fats (Hydro, 2007).
A community health assessment helps to realize needs and resources that a community requires to utilize its resources.  The health assessment also considers the community’s underlying culture and social structure.  According to Health Outreach Partners (2012), some agencies that can be used when doing a community health assessment are the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Department of Labor, state or local health departments, local school districts, and local community health centers.
The CHANGE assessment starts out with commitment which includes putting a team of community members together.  The second is assessment which involves gathering data and input on what the community needs.  Next is planning which means that you have your data and the next step is to take action to develop the community action plan for change.  Next is implementation which is where you execute the plan you have developed.  This needs to be done with the community team, stakeholders and partners involved in your health assessment.  The last step is evaluation.  This is where you evaluate the change that has taken place.  It helps you to know if you are implementing the right strategies and gives you information about what can be done in the future (CDC, 2010).
The role of the public health nurse in a community health assessment is to take a leadership role in the steps of the assessment, to make a team and assess the community through speaking to members of the community, sending out surveys, or having team members do an actual survey of the community themselves by observing the community and its members.  For example, with CHANGE assessment, the community health nurse will take initiative in putting a team together, planning with the team on how to gather data from the community, etc.  The nurse will have a direct role in each step of the process.
In this role, the nurse will very much use his/her leadership skills.  Assessing a community for any deficits that need to be investigated or any needs that must be considered make the nurse’s job incredibly important.  As a community/population health nurse you have the ability to make an entire community safer, more comfortable, and a better place to live.

Please reply to– Lauren Mo. Please note minimum of 200 words. No APA or sources citation needed.

A community health assessment is the process of identifying the major health needs and issues in a specific geographic area such as county, city, or tribal area. This is completed through systematic, extensive data collection and analysis. A community health assessment helps keeps organizations informed on the status of a community’s health and any problems or needs it may have. Community health assessments help form community health plans to improve the health and well-being of the population. There are different models that can be used for assessing a community. However, most community assessments consist of common elements that include organizing and planning, engaging the community, conducting actual health assessment, prioritizing health issues, developing and implementing a plan, and evaluation (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, n.d.). Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) is a specific model or framework used to perform community assessments. It is beneficial to use a specific model because it helps narrow down the focus of an assessment. Certain frameworks are broader than others whereas others focus on a specific issue. Some models are fairly simple whereas other models are more complex than others. It is best to narrow it down to one specific model that is tailored to the purpose of completing the community assessment and other factors such as time constraints or organizations involved.
The vision of MAPP is communities achieving improved health and quality of life by mobilizing partnerships and taking strategic action (Institute of Medicine, 2022). MAPP includes four assessments: assessing community themes and strengths, assessing the local public health system, assessing the health status of the community, and assessing forces of change. Agencies involved with MAPP include National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Other agencies that should be included with the assessment are local and state public health officials (health department, department of public works), health practitioners and administrators, human service organizations, community organizations (ex: chamber of commerce, YMCA), local and state elected officials, public schools/ local colleges, businesses, faith communities, and community members (Mobilizing for Action Through Planning and Partnerships, n.d.). A reasonable time frame for completing a community wide assessment WITH a community health improvement plan is several months.
The public health nurse’s role in the implementation of the model includes assessing the public health system of the community including what the system is lacking and what it is succeeding in. The public health nurse takes part in performing the assessment and gather data as well as use different methods to generate data. The public health nurse will help educate the community about health concerns and educate them about the community health improvement plan. The nurse will educate the community about risk factors and making healthy choices. The nurses will of course deliver care and will help evaluate the success of the health improvement plan.

Bi Weekly Assignment 2 Capstone Project Literature Review On Gender In White-Collar Crime /NO PLAGARISM PROFESSOR USES TURNITIN – extended essay help biology: extended essay help biology

Employees’ High Workload

Daniela Duran

Employees’ High Workload
Healthcare organizations throughout the world are affected by a variety of healthcare concerns or stress. All issues must be addressed immediately to prevent further escalation; however, some are more pressing and important. One of the key stressors in this scenario is high employee workload, which appears to be the most severe difficulty in the healthcare sector. A high workload happens when the quantity and intensity of one’s tasks exceed the limits of what can logically be handled in a specific function (Gu & Itoh, 2020). Additionally, the workload may result from a particular corporation attempting to minimize expenses or how work is managed or allocated to an individual. Recognizing a high workload in a healthcare firm is a critical first step toward achieving one’s career goals and seeking work-life balance.
Impact of Employees’ High Workload in the Healthcare Organization
In a healthcare facility with few employees, the overwhelming workload has several effects that, if not immediately addressed, could result in inefficiency. Employee stress and burnout are a few effects. According to reports from the American Institute of Stress, 80% of workers and managers in the healthcare industry report feeling stressed out at work (Shenje & Wushe, 2019). An excessive workload and extended workdays are among the primary sources of stress.
As a result, workplace stress causes other issues like competitiveness among coworkers and a hostile work atmosphere. Burnout is a side effect of workload and job stress. Burnout, a form of ongoing job pressure that reduces effectiveness and depletes one’s energy, is described by the World Health Organization (Shenje & Wushe, 2019). Because they feel they have no control over their workload, overworked workers become burned out. Employees lose mental contact with their coworkers and become pessimistic about their situation.
Furthermore, a heavy workload harms one’s career in the healthcare industry. While it may seem contradictory, work overload might harm an otherwise promising career. According to the Harvard Business Review, when employees are given more work than they can logically handle, their work performance suffers (Gu & Itoh, 2020). Working long hours at high speed may garner applause initially, but the work mode quickly becomes the expected norm and performance benchmark. A little inability to consistently deliver high-quality work may harm merit pay eligibility, performance assessments, and promotions. Furthermore, workload negotiations may fail if the employer is not sympathetic and believes the employee is inefficient, sluggish, or a complainer.
A summary of Articles Discussing Employees’ High Workload
(Zarei et al. (2019) explain that a growing issue in the healthcare industry, particularly among primary healthcare workers, is burnout, which is caused by increased employee burden. Younger, unmarried, and less experienced employees were more likely to experience burnout. Therefore, avoiding employee burnout requires preventative measures like copying, communication, social skill development, and stress management techniques.
Additionally, according to (Angioha et al., 2020), there is a link between employees’ well-being and their level of overworking. The findings showed that seminars and training programs were needed to encourage a healthy lifestyle, a healthy working environment, and conduct among health professionals.
Strategies for Addressing the Issue of Employees’ High Workload
Most businesses in industries other than healthcare, including transportation or industry, have found creative solutions to the problem of excess employee workload. Utilizing the skills of coworkers and team members is an effective tactic. Freeing up time to provide each project with the highest concentration, strength, and energy is the most straightforward and most successful technique to handle a particular assignment. To ensure the actual completion of tasks, it is crucial to allow for teamwork rather than remote work (Gu & Itoh, 2020). Every time a task is assigned that does not fit the individual’s unique skills, they are allowed to execute one that does, giving everyone at work more power.
