For this assignment, each team will take on the role of a consulting team, either external or internal to the organization, and utilize the principles and processes of OD, Change Management, and Consulting. A current organization must be utilized, and the change must be one that has not occurred within that organization. The purpose of this project is to demonstrate your knowledge of taking a change project from start-to-finish.
Design your organizational change case. What this means, in part, is that you may have to create some “facts” to ensure that all of the linkages of your change situation align.
You will be describing a current situation, describing methods for gathering data, analyzing and interpreting the data, describing the content and process of a feedback session, making a diagnosis, planning an intervention strategy and action, discussing leading change activities, and developing an evaluation plan.
Specifically, here’s the process that you may utilize for the change project.
Think of a problem that an organization is experiencing on the team or organizational level. You may be experiencing some issues at work, or have heard or read about an organizational problem recently.
I’m responsible for question number 8 (see below). Please see the attached survery that was taken to answer the question. I also have attached a slide that will help answer the question.
8. Design and propose an intervention strategy and action items for change that have not previously occurred in the organization. The change will help improve organizational effectiveness by addressing the underlying “root” causes of any issues.
