“For the research article review, you will provide a summary of the article (approximately 2
pages) and then critique the article, with a special focus on methodology, results, and discussion. This
exercise is intended to practice summarizing research article as well as thinking critically about research.
My hope is that students will be willing to share their summaries and critiques with their classmates so
students can end the semester with many of the research articles summarized and critiqued for future
reference. I will provide an example of a research article review and a rubric.”
