Case Study Scenario:
You are employed at the State Department of Health, and asked to lead a task force (with 8 members from various departments) with development of a policy, program, project, and/or intervention based upon what is needed for the state. It has been some time since a thorough assessment and vision for health promotion for the entire state has been completed. You are given a budget of approximately $25,000 to determine a topic on which to focus with one priority population within the state, develop an plan, pilot the policy/program/project/intervention, and evaluate the process to for refinement before rolling it out to the entire state.

Based on the policy, program, project, or intervention designed and planning model used, describe the types of evaluation methods that would be used for both formative and summative evaluation.
Select methods that should be incorporated to evaluate the design or implementation of public health programs (Competency D2-2:11) for the prioritized population.
Identify both quantitative and qualitative methods to be used and how it should be used.
Who would complete the method (participants, stakeholders, program staff, etc.)?
When would the method be utilized (pre/post-test, time series, end of evaluation)?
How would baseline measures be collected and compared?
Identify formative and summative evaluation tools.
Identify data to be collected.
Discussion of data collection process and how data would be used to make future recommendations and changes.
