1. Considering today’s privacy rules, how can a nurse expect to maintain confidentiality when patients are sharing data so freely?
2. How might privacy rules evolve, particularly in regard to virtual health and social media?
3. What are the strengths of using social media in health care?
4. What are the challenges of using social media in health care?
5. What is the nurse’s role in engaging populations to understand information about their health and understand how to access appropriate health information resources?
o You are asked to address each question thoroughly in your brochure. Your brochure should be concise and have a logical flow.
o REMEMBER – You must include citations to support your brochure content; however, citations should NOT make up the majority of your brochure! You need to synthesize/summarize content in your brochure. Your interpretation of the information to provide a guide for nurses.
APA formatting is required for in-text citations and references at the end of the brochure.
