Job Application Project
As aspiring and current professionals, you will need to understand how to explore your interests and identify prospective careers that you’ll find fulfilling. Fortunately, many of you have already started this exciting part of your lives. To be successful finding a job that you’ll enjoy, you’ll need to understand yourself, the different careers available to you, and how to bridge the gap between them. In this project, we’ll be focusing on accomplishing these tasks and preparing job application materials that will help you prepare for your future.
This project will consist of three parts, each of which relates to the others:
1. Prospective Career Exploration Sheet
This form, which I will provide separately, will ask you to describe your interests and then describe possible careers and businesses or organizations for which you might want to work.
Due: Wednesday, August 10th by 10:10am.
2. Professional Resume
Your professional resume will accompany your business letter. Your resume should be no more than one page and describe the main aspects that will interest potential employers.
Due: Friday, August 12th by 11:59pm
3. Business Cover Letter
This will be the central part of the project. You will write a one-page cover letter to a company applying for a job. We will review the appropriate content, style, and form of the letter in class, and you will be expected to write your cover letter accordingly.

***You may submit the cover letter and resume as one document or two separate ones. Please just be sure that both are submitted to the assignment on Canvas.
