Research Proposal Rubrics The project introduces the topic, problem and purpose completely and adequately Clear justification of the rationale of the study and the problem statement Literature The project demonstrates familiarity with important existing research on the topic Articles that provide the context for the proposal are relevant and critically reviewed The review includes a research gap, problem statement, and research questions and the ability to justify the research questions and/or significance of the study within an established theoretical framework. Methodology The design is appropriate, detailed, and well-thought-out. Methods are critically justified and correctly described including proposed participants, procedures, data collection, and analyses. A clear rationale for choosing particular methods, such as why your statistical tests or instruments are appropriate given your research problem.
