This option also has two required parts:
1) Students will attend a health lecture or workshop (proof of attendance required) and 2) Students will write a 1-2 page paper briefly summarizing the workshop information and explaining how the workshop content is fits with our course material and the latest health research. To find a workshop, visit either the UH CAPS, Health Center, Recreation Center, and/or Wellness Centers websites to find a health class / lecture or workshop that interests you and is relevant to our course material. Fill out the proof of attendance form and have the workshop instuctor sign it.
Papers should include a title page with your name, title and date of the session attended, and a reference page with appropriately cited (APA style) sources. Briefly summarize the contents of the worshop you attended and explain how it relates to our course material.

Research forms the foundation of all health and wellness practice. Good health promotion programs and interventions are based on the latest nutrition, physical activity, and health science research. 2.) Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to help students understand the research process and how research guides health information, promotion and intervention. Students will further their health knowledge by actively participating in this research process.
3.) Requirements:
