What are 3 changes or interventions that you think should be implemented to reduce the impact of this particular set of challenges to public health? Be clear, specific, and persuasive – why should we, as a society, try to follow your recommendations. What difficulties do you anticipate in implementing your recommendations? Who do you think will object to your recommendations? And how do you want to convince them of your efficacy of your proposed solutions?
Be sure to focus on “upstreamist” approaches – as opposed to “rescuer” approaches.
That is, focus on what could be done to get at causes of the problem and prevent the problem in the first place – as opposed to fixing the damage after it has already been done.
Do NOT use quotes – put all information and recommendations in your own words. BUT be sure to cite in the body of your text where you got your information. Use the format: (author’s name, page #)
Include a Bibliography of all your sources. BE SURE all of your citations are complete and correctly formatted!!! (Use APA or Chicago format) There will be a grade penalty for incorrectly cited sources.
