once you have logged in you will be taken to this page and it will have all sorts of stuff. on that page, you want to look to the left and you the letter M and it’ll be in orange. Click that and if you have to log in again it is the same log in the info I have put on here. once you have gotten that far you may get a thing that pops up on the screen just click dismiss then look at the top right and click log in. it’ll take you to all of my classes. just click the English one and it’ll take you to this page and it’ll show a bunch of info. ignore that stuff and just look to the left of the screen and you’ll units 1 – 10. click unit 6 then scroll down and it’ll say begin unit 6 click that. then it’ll take you to a page and click (7) – Writing center then you’ll begin. it’s just an outline but needs to be good. It’ll show an introductory statement with a hook and then a thesis and so on. if you need help you’ll see a thing at the corner of the boxes and it’ll say tips just click that and that’ll help you out a little better if needed. once you have completed every box then you can just exit and it’ll save on its own and ill take it from there. here are the instructions he gave me. good luck and thank you!
In Unit 6 there are three articles about camouflage which you must compare based upon their respective disciplines.
This is essentially a compare/contrast essay. Each article is written about camouflage, but each article comes from a different discipline: one is from a science perspective, one is from the discipline of history, and one is from the fashion perspective. All you are really doing in this essay is discussing the different approaches to camouflage each article takes because of its discipline. The instructions also give you six elements: writer’s purpose, reader’s goal, writer’s tone, organization, discipline-specific features, discipline-specific language. You are to choose three of these to help you organize and write your essay. I suggest writer’s purpose, reader’s goal, and discipline-specific language. These are the easiest to work with. You can then organize your body paragraphs one of two ways:
Give a body paragraph to each article, and in each paragraph discuss purpose, goal, and language for the respective article.
Give a body paragraph to each element, and then discuss all three articles in each paragraph as they pertain to that element.
There are several boxes in the support section of the first draft, and each must have something in it in order for you to progress.
