Your final paper will consist of a comprehensive substance use assessment. Although this shares
similarities with a standard biopsychosocial assessment, a comprehensive substance use assessment
includes extensive history related to substance use.Develop a formulation, , including your assessment
of the client’s stage of change, DSM-5-TR substance use-related diagnosis with justification, risk and
protective factors, strengths, and obstacles. Present your recommendations for a level of care per ASAM
criteria, including clear rationale. Based on your analysis of available literature, describe your
recommendations for specific interventions with the client (and family, if appropriate) and your
rationale. Please identify the ethical dilemma(s) that might arise in your work with this client. Draw on
literature (at least eight references) from the course and outside readings to help you develop a
formulation and evidence-informed intervention plan. Eight to 10 pages.
