4.3 Research design
Approximately 300 words in total
You
need to describe and justify your research design for each data
collection method (150 words for qualitative design and 150 words for quantitative
design). This section should include the following:
4.3.1 Sampling
This needs to include a discussion of the
population you are researching, your sampling approach and strategy, and the achieved
sample size.
4.3.2 Research instruments
A description and justification for the
design of the data collection instruments, e.g. moderator guide/interview
schedule, and the survey questionnaire. Blank examples of these should
also be included in the appendices.
4.3.3 Data collection
This should be a discussion on how you
collected both your qualitative and quantitative data, e.g. identification and recruitment
of participants/respondents, the location, timings, incentives, details of any
pilot survey and/or interview you conducted, etc.
