The primary purpose of this paper is to think critically and objectively about both arguments for
using animals in scientific research. Your paper should present both arguments for and against
the use of animals in research, but can also include your opinion or stance on this debate towards
the end of the paper. It is important to consider both sides of this debate, as we will be
conducting experiments with animals towards the middle to end of the semester. This paper
should include 2 scholarly sources (e.g. journal articles, book chapters, etc.), using one for each
side of the debate. Under the Files tab on our Canvas page you will find a folder titled Animal
Ethics Paper. In that folder are 5 articles that are available for you to use in your paper. Again
you only need to use 2, but you can choose any of the 5. You are welcome to use other articles
you find on your own too. Do not cite websites as most are not scholarly sources or peer
reviewed. In addition to presenting both sides of this argument your paper should include the
