Read the CDC article to gain an understanding of PrEP uptake or the use of PrEP.
Use the 3 articles above to determine how meaningful health communication can be applied to help lower the disparity of PrEP uptake amongst cisgender heterosexual women? Develop a message that would encourage cisgender heterosexual women to consider using PrEP to prevent HIV transmission. Your response should include the following:
Background information of the problem (15 points)
Barriers to PrEP among cisgender heterosexual women (15 points)
Description of the audience of interest (demographics, i.e., age, race, income, education) – 10 points
Communication strategy for this audience based on the demographic profile (30 points)
Provide one example of each of the messages developed for primary, secondary, and tertiary audiences as defined in Chapter 5 (30 points).
