The Clonmel operation was established in Ireland in 1998 by Guidant Corporation and was acquired by Boston Scientific in April 2006. Clonmel’s main responsibility is the production of CRM  Devices.

Pacemakers and defibrillators are among the products manufactured at the Boston Scientific Clonmel site to treat heart failure and increased heart rate (Bradycardia and Tachycardia). The devices are then shipped all around the world from our distribution hub. About 250,000 of these devices are supplied globally from the Clonmel factory, which is the only one in the Boston Scientific group that manufactures them.
