The module is a theoretical module, so you have to learn all the topics in the seminars I send you because it will help in writing the essay to a high standard as all the topics link to each other. You can pick from the first 6 essays I have lecture notes on the first 4 essays but not on international commercial courts, but I will add the seminar for it just in case you may want to do that topic. I will send you the seminars for each of those first 6 essays so you can read on them, I will attach the essential reading articles for the 5 seminars. Whichever of the first 6 essays you do, you must do all the essential reading for all the seminars I send you. Also, when you pick the essay, you want to write on please let me know so I can send you the additional reading which will help in getting the 1st. The topic you choose to do, to get a 1st you have to do all the additional reading. I will attach an example of a 1st class essay; this is from a completely different module, but it is written to a very high standard and that’s the expectation from my university. I will also upload the marking criteria of my law school, please have the marking criteria open when writing the essay. In the essay your arguments need to be strong and coherent you must have an opinion from what you read, that’s what will get you the high marks. Also, please use a lot of sources, use all the sources I upload and use additional ones if you find any too, use quotes from the articles (not long quotes) to strengthen your arguments. You should approach it by first reading the lecture notes I send you for the first 4 essay question so you can understand the topics (don’t have lecture notes on international commercial courts), then reading the essential reading stuff for the 5 seminars (and answer the questions) so you can get an idea and then pick the essay you want to write on. Also, when you have picked the essay which you’re going to write please let me know; so, I can send you the additional reading articles for it.
