-This assignment is a 2 hour simulation which gives you information about ethics in research and protection of human subjects.

-Please work through the simulation exercise FOUR times, each time using a different role. These simulations are like a “choose your own adventure” and if you choose an incorrect answer, you will be prompted to go back and try again. Each simulation will take approximately 30 minutes. When you are done, please answer the following questions. This is not a formal paper. You do not need to cite unless you use an outside source. Attention to grammar and spelling is always appreciated.
1. Describe each of the four roles.
2. Discuss obstacles that each person came across while participating in the research study.
3. Were there any decisions you made in a particular role that you went back to do differently?
4. Why is it important, in ANY role, to adhere to ethical standards?
5. What is one GOOD example of protection of human subjects?
