Description
Write an essay that discusses your “Ethnic heritage.”
Your essay should include the following:
a. Identify and describe your ethnic heritage. Select a part of your ethnic heritage that at some time in the history of the United States fits the sociological definition of a minority group and explain why. If not, indicate so and explain. (10 points)
b. Do you have an ethnic identity? Discuss/Provide details (10 points)
c. Do you have a religious identity? Discuss/Provide details (10 points)
d. Apply any definitions, concepts and/or theories you have learned from this course that are relevant to your heritage. (15 points)
e. You are to utilize at least one written source (from the assigned course reading materials, or other credible sources) and one living human source (an older relative of yours if possible). Appropriately cite these sources within, and at the end of your essay. The minimum number of pages is three double-spaced, 12 point font. (5 points)
