You must demonstrate understanding and familiarity with Week 1-4 course readings: American
Yawp Chapters 15-18 and the first two essays in Coates. You must use evidence from
both books or your paper will not pass.
These are reading response essays, not research papers. There should be no other source
material beyond American Yawp and Coates; do not summarize content you have read
on the internet.
Any paper with no citations is an F paper.
Grading:
Have thoughtful content including a clear answer to the prompt. Write clearly and edit your work.
