Discussion
Rendering to the governmental statement, cancer is one of the main well-being issues
in Georgia where 45,000 Georgians are detected with aggressive cancer and almost 15,500
individuals die in cancer in every year. It is the subsequent foremost reason of death in
Georgia where the most common includes lung, breast, bronchus and colorectal cancer. The
incident of breast cancer is also high among the Georgian female and the rate of prostate
cancer is also common among male. The middle aged and older people residing in the remote
areas is found to be suffering from cancer which impacts their quality of life. The government
introduced various Cancer prevention and treatment programs in order to lower the burden of
cancer in the state (cancerstatisticscenter.cancer.org, 2021). The program includes Georgia
comprehensive cancer Control Programme, breast and cervical cancer screening program,
colorectal Cancer prevention program, Womens well-being Medicaid program, Cancer State
aid funding driver and Georgia comprehensive cancer registry program. The aim of the
registration program is to collect and analyze cancer cases in the state and implement proper
strategies and policies for providing the community with control over cancer by
recommending cost effective treatment. The availability of the data will be beneficial for the
health care worker to analyze the epidemic condition of cancer and significant benefit of a
particular intervention by analyzing the rate of complication and determination of adverse
effect (cancer.org, 2021).
Presently the incident about covid-19 is found to be highlighted in the governmental
site along with the vaccination program and availability of service which helped in lowering
the rate of covid-19 among the community people and controlling the pandemic situation
(dph.georgia.gov, 2021).
