Today you are working with them on strategies to increase their energy expenditure through physical activity and exercise. Currently, they perform minimal physical activity and exercise. What are health and safety considerations that you would need to take into account when working with an obese client? 2- You have a client that tells you that they believe “all carbs are bad”, and that they avoid carbohydrate foods whenever possible. How would you talk with a client about the importance of carbohydrates and the role that carbohydrates play in sport performance?3- You are meeting with a client for the first time. The client is a healthy weight, but they want to increase their muscle mass and strength. For the past 3 months they have performed various lifting exercises utilizing 20 pound weights. They did not have a consistent routine, other than using the 20 pound weights. They saw gains in mass during the first few weeks, but they haven’t seen further improvement since. When considering FITT, what advise can you give to your client in order for them to develop greater muscle mass and strength?4- You have an athlete that you are consulting who only drinks sports drinks during training and games. They tell you that they believe that sports drinks are the best for hydration and replenishing electrolytes. How would you discuss the importance of beverage choices and beverage timing with the athlete?
