Choose a challenge that prisoners face related to
re-entering society (e.g., housing, employment, etc.).
Read the questions below and
write a five-page, double-spaced paper addressing the
questions (minimum length: five double-spaced pages of your own original words;
maximum length: six double-spaced pages of your own original words).
If you use quotes, use them
sparingly. Avoid large block
quotes. The page requirement does NOT
include the references page—which must be a separate page at the end of the
document (please see the videos on APA formatting on Blackboard in the Writing
Resources content folder).
Make sure your paper is in a
formal paper format—do not simply
write individual answers to each question separately. Rather, write a cohesive paper that discusses
the information needed to answer the questions.
Use 12 point Times New Roman
font and 1-inch margins. APA format is required. Make sure to cite all
information properly. You must have
in-text citations and a references section.
You need to cite a minimum of seven credible
sources in your paper (e.g., peer-reviewed articles, published
books, or credible news articles).

1). What is the specific
challenge facing prisoners related to re-entering society that you have chosen
to write your paper on? Describe the challenge and provide background
information on the issue. Make sure to include what you have found during your
literature review.
2). What is causing the challenge
(according to credible sources)? You may use sources assigned in class as well
as any credible sources you find in your literature review.
3). What are the
consequences of this challenge?
4). What can be done to
address this challenge?
5). Provide at least one original idea that can
be used to address this challenge OR describe what other questions you have
that must be studied related to this issue.
