Module 2: Overview of EBP Process and Translation
Instructions:
As a DNP scholar, you are expected to perform an academic search of scholarly peer-review journal articles on a given topic. For this assignment, you will choose an article from a peer-review journal database, including but not limited to CINAHL, MEDLINE, Pub MED, NIH, Google Scholar, and AGM Virtual Library. Once you have your article, you will read and analyze the document and be able to answer the following questions:
1. What is the purpose of the study?
2. What type of methodology the researcher utilizes and why?
3. How do the results of the study contribute to the research question?
Use an Essay Format
· You must present your writing double-spaced, in a Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier New font, with a font size of 12.
· Pay attention to grammar rules (spelling and syntax).
· Your work must be original and not contain material copied from books or the internet.
· When citing the work of other authors, including citations and references, use APA style to respect their intellectual property and avoid plagiarism.
· Remember that your writing must have a header or a cover page that includes the name of the institution, the program, the course code, the title of the activity, your name and student number, and the assignment’s due date.
Contribute a minimum of 5 pages. It should include at least 2 academic sources, formatted and cited in APA.

Step 1: Choose Your Article

Step 2: Read and Analyze the Article

Step 3: Structure Your Essay
Cover Page (APA format):
Include institution name, program, course code, title of assignment, your name, student ID, and due date.
Introduction (1 paragraph):

Introduce the importance of evidence-based practice in nursing.

End with a clear thesis statement (e.g., “This paper analyzes a peer-reviewed study to examine its purpose, methodology, and contribution to evidence-based practice”).
Body (3–4 pages):

Conclusion (1 paragraph):

Step 4: Formatting and References

Use 12-point Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier New font.

Double-space the entire paper.

Use proper APA formatting for in-text citations and reference page.

Include at least 2 scholarly references (your chosen article + one additional source).
Step 5: Final Checks Before Submission

Proofread for grammar, spelling, and syntax errors.
