In this final module we will learn about innovations with sustainability as a key motivator. How can modern technology and ideas help create a regenerative world and solve the climate emergency?
For this research article select an innovation/regenerative solution and/or partnership that you would like to feature and share with your classmates. Be sure to link it to 1 or 2 Global Goals and connect it to your own life and how you are inspired by these ideas, and can potentially use them going forward as a change agent for a regenerative future! For this Discussion Board I’d like you to think about the world you want to live in as an adult. What innovations are you excited about? How can your own change agent skills allow you to partner with others to build a sustainable and regenerative world? Please share how you might incorporate your sustainability knowledge in the field you plan to go into after you graduate? How can your skills contribute to your own community? What worries you and what excites/inspires you? Share ideas and inspiration.
All of the same article research guidelines apply. Have fun with your research, this one is all about inspiration and motivation.
1 per MODULE of approximately 700-1000 words (5-7 solid paragraphs).
Include a minimum of 3 additional supporting research sources you find that are not from your textbooks, or the posted materials. You should also include citations for any of the class materials that you use for your article. You can include links!
Include a minimum of 2 supporting research image.
Subject Titles: Indicate the topic of your article and the related module #.
Content: Cover anything related to topics introduced in the content module. This includes relating the module to the present day fashion system and contemporary attitudes and styles, examining a specific topic, AND relating something from the module to sustainability topics. Remember to keep the emphasis on textiles and the Fashion System. This is a chance for you to explore something that interests you from the module content area with a little depth and to learn to utilize research sources, as well as refine your writing skills. Think of it like a short magazine article that might interest someone else.
ARTICLE GRADING 10 points per module possible. Up to 6 points for writing/content, 2 points for image, 2 points for sources
You must have strong writing with an introduction, body and conclusion. You must provide evidence and context for your topic (ie., refer specifically to the class material that inspired your essay), and clearly offer your own research insights and observations that are not just a report. You are encouraged to pose questions that your topic sparks in your mind, and you do not have to have all of the answers!
I will include 2 examples of essays from the last module for format and speaking reference. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask!
