Discussion Prompt: To Spank or Not to Spank
This week’s discussion will explore the controversial issue of spanking.
What is your position on spanking and why? From Erikson’s view of Initiative vs. Guilt, how does this influence your position?
As a counselor, you will have parents in your practice who have differing opinions on this subject. How would you work with a parent whose ideas/practices oppose your values?
