Case Study & Fieldwork Report
1. Case Study: 12.5 hours* :In this part of the report you will detail your
interventions with the student whom you assessed.
a. Include the BRI, b. Your analysis, c. What key area or areas you
determined to work on: phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency,
vocabulary (or word recognition,) comprehension
b. Discuss how you worked with the student, specifically what
interventions did you use. Refer to your mini lessons.
c. Connect to course content, include in-text citations, as well as
references.
d. The case study needs to be typewritten, double-spaced, 12 point font
size, Times New Roman or Arial font, two to three pages.
e. Include a list of dates and hours that you worked with the student.
Provide information about the school the student attends, including
name of school, location, grades and populations they serve, for
example elementary K-5, General Education, ENL, and students with
IEPs. In addition, detail if school is public, private, parochial, or
charter.
2. Fieldwork: 12.5 hours* detail where you did the observations. Describe
whether you did it in-person, remotely, or online. Highlight how the
literacy strands of reading, writing, listening, and speaking were taught
Include what practices, strategies, methodologies were used as well.
a. Include a list of dates and hours that you did the observations.
b. Provide information about the school the student attends, including
name of school, location, grades and populations they serve, for
example elementary K-5, General Education, ENL, and students with
