Scenario:
You are the change management consultant for a small traditionally based SME family business in
food manufacturing (this is a made-up company!) employing just over a 100 people. They are
currently losing money but have a reputation for good quality.
Task:
Create a VLOG (video log) to present to the company to suggest creative & innovative ways to
improve their business. In the VLOG you should answer the following 3 questions
1. Detail how you would set about managing change using your choice of change management
models and discuss how it would be applied to the company.
2. Define how they should tackle innovation & technology threats from larger organisations. For
example, developments in producing standard bakery products to highly creative cakes and
artesian breads.
3. Discuss what initiatives can the bakery learn from organisations such as Greggs and in-house
bakers at the various supermarkets.
You must use academic theory and models discussed in lectures and further reading from textbooks
and academic journals.
